1. Mandore in Jodhpur
It is the former capital of Maharajas of Marwar located just 9 km away from the Jodhpur. Historians say that Chundaji a Rathore chief married a Parihar princess in this ancient city. This place is very popular for the garden, temple, and a ruined fort. The ruined fort of Mandore was built in several stages with thick and high walls. A huge ruined temple is the highlight of the fortress. The outer wall of the temple represents finely carved botanical designs, birds and animals. This place is the perfect visit when covering the distance from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer.

2. Osian Temple Jodhpur
The first destination of the trip is the ancient city of Osian in Jodhpur. It is very popular as the “Khajuraho of Rajasthan” which is just 65 km on way to Jaisalmer. 5. Tanot Mata Mandir
It is situated in the small village of Tanot in Jaisalmer district. The mandir is very close to Longewala the battleground of 1971 Indo-Pak war. Local people believe that this mandir protects them from any attack by outsiders. Meanwhile, Pakistani bombers dropped 3000 bombs on the mandir, but none of them exploded. You can see unexploded shells of bombs in the mandir. As you reach to Jaisalmer, this is our last places to visit of passing the distance from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer.
