The goal of this ashram is to help people find moksha and peace within themselves. Therefore, people from all over the country come to the ashram looking for spiritual experiences and enlightenment. 

The ashram is one of the wealthiest ashrams in the world. 

Also, the ashram is only in Pondicherry; it doesn’t exist anywhere else. It has a library inside as well.

2. Paradise Beach – Places To Visit Pondicherry In 2 Days

Paradise Beach in Pondicherry is a very clean beach. This beach is also called Plage Paradiso. 

The beach is in Chunnambar, a beautiful neighborhood next to Pondicherry town. Both tourists and people who live there go. 

This is a small beach with golden sand that is all by itself. Take a ferry across the backwaters, which will take between 20 and 30 minutes.

1. Arikamedu

It was titled after the Tamil word “Arikanmedu,” which means “eroding mountain.” 

Before Christ, there wasn’t much information available concerning Indo-Roman relations. But when Arikamedu discovered and excavated, much evidence was found.

The Romans, the Cholas, and the French lived in this port town from the 1st century BC to the 2nd century AD. It was a very well-known nautical center during that time. 

People say that the place where glass beads are made in Arikamedu is the mother of all bead centers in the world.

2. Serenity Beach

Serenity Beach is a 10-kilometer beach near Kottakuppam, on the edge of Puducherry. The beach got its name from the spa-resort-Inn, right next to it. 

This beach was called Kottakuppam Beach or Thanthirayan Kuppam Beach when it was first built. The beach is a great place to get away from the city.

4. Old Lighthouse

The famous engineer Louis Guerre built the old lighthouse in 1836. The old lighthouse is unique and appears modern. 

Its three entrances are for the watchman, a store, and a stairway to the top. Unfortunately, after working for a long time, it stopped working in 1979 and was shut down. 

People of all ages go to see the old lighthouse, even though the current lighthouse, which is 157 feet tall, is more noticeable.
